We were founded back in 1913 just 5 years after the first ever Scouts. We balance a strong and proud heritage of traditional scouting with a 21st century programme of activities giving our young people exciting everyday adventures that build genuine skills for life.
We have extensive facilities at our HQ and our location next to the playing field on Cornmeadow Lane gives us lots of outdoor space. Indoor activities take place in our large brick-built HQ but we also have an outdoor fire area and a smart new den for older 14+ Explorer Scouts. That is when we are not out and about in the great outdoors of course.
All the information you need is on this site. Have a look and then use the join now or contact us to get in touch.
We look forward to hearing from you soon.

We are always keen for more parents and adults to help us directly our sections or behind the scenes. You don’t need prior experience and you really can give as much or as little of your time as you like. It can be one of the most fun, rewarding and positive things you will ever do and we promise you will make our young people smile. We are a sociable friendly bunch too.
