8th Worcester Ireland Trip

Date: 6th Jun 2023 Author: Simon Burney
33 of our groups Cubs, Scouts and Explorers flew to Northern Ireland to enjoy a fun packed week of camping in very sunny weather at Crawfordsburn NI Scout Centre on the coast near Bangor.

We enjoyed a full 5 days of activities including hiking in the Tollymore Forest Park in the Mourne Mountains, Beach shenanigans, canoeing in the sea, a coastal walk to Bangor for seaside fun, a day trip to Dublin by train from Belfast visiting the sights, Dublin Castle and lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe.

In our final two days we visited the world famous Titanic Museum and Vertigo inflatable Park and ninja warrior course in Belfast, and ventured to the far north to experience the very wobbly Carrick a Rede rope bridge over the sea and see the epic Giants Causeway.

A brilliant week of fun Not to mention loads and loads of ice cream, campfires, wide games, and meeting Scouts from Bangor NI, Mexico, and Holland.
