Claines Scout Group has a blast at Shirejam

Date: 16th Jul 2019 Author: Scout Websites

Beavers, Cubs and Scouts from our scout group joined 4,000 other young people from all over the county, and the world, at the first county Jamboree called “Shirejam” at the Three Counties Showground Malvern. The weekend event featured six zones – adventure, splash, learn, bounce and create and survive. Each was crammed with activities such as scuba-diving, zorbing, jumping off high towers, foam battles and slides, survival cooking and more. Archie and Alecks from Aztec Scouts even had a go at broadcasting on Scout Radio.

In the evenings Scouts got talent, live bands and music added to the atmosphere. All our young people had a brilliant time thanks to around 1,000 volunteers who ran the event.

We will be Shirejammin again on the weekend of 8th July 2022. Can’t wait.
